DO:

• Make sure the main structure and columns meet the requirements and are dry.
• Use a mixture of PM-200 or PM-600 as first horizontal layer adhesive with 2-5 thickness. Apply it with a trowel.
• Use block adhesive PM-100 on the vertical blocks.
• Use a waterpass to ensure the blocks have been layed evenly.
• Use PM-100 for horizontal and vertical blocks in the second course and in the next courses
• Make sure the blocks are even and in 90-degree angle to each other, using a waterpass.
• Use a rubber mallet to level the block.
• It is recommended to use PM-200 plaster from Prime Mortar because it has been tested and proved to meet technical requirements
• Remove the excess of block adhesive PM-100 which sticks out from the surface. Cover the hollows between blocks using PM-100. Use a trowel to apply it.
• Place an anchor in every 3 courses of vertical block and every 2 courses of horizontal blocks.
• The overlap length of vertical shear in the lower course and vertical shear in the upper course is 20 cm or 1/3 of the overal length.

DON’T:

• Don’t work on a damaged, leaned, or visually unreliable sloof, beam, or concrete column.
• Don’t use conventional adhesive mixture or plaster which has unstable or unmeasurable composition and homogeneity.
• Don’t use fake AAC Blocks which will affect the quality of the final result of the wall construction.
• Don’t use water that is contaminated by mud, oil, or salt to mix instant cement.
• Don’t use a mixture of PM-100 that is too thin or too thick because it can reduce its ability to stick objects.
• Don’t use a bucket that is dirty or has some paint on it.
• If the surface of a vertical block looks leaned, correct it right away, because this would cause extra use of plaster.
• Don’t use a trowel or a hand to level a block, because the pressure won’t be strong enough. Don’t use a metal mallet, because the pressure would be too strong.
• Don’t wet the surface of a wall before applying plaster.
• Don’t use a hammer to cut a block, because it will cause an uneven vertical surface.
• Don’t make a passage for electricity pipes with the depth more than 1/3 of the block width.

Extending the height of the ground floor is usually done by digging the soil and adding sand and stones. Many people are unwilling to use aerated lightweight concrete, and one of the reasons of their unwillingnfess is because they believe these myths.

1. MYTH: Aerated concrete is easy to break apart
FACT: When it is correctly installed, aerated lightweight concrete is difficult to break apart. Burglars are unlikely to break into the house by breaking a wall, they manipulate the door keys or  force to open the windows instead.

2. MYTH: Not suitable for outer walls
FACT: If you use this material for outer walls, the surfaces must be covered with plaster and white cement for protection against the weather.

3. MYTH: Don’t use it to construct bathroom walls
FACT: For usage in a wet or humid area, you should add a waterproof layer on top of the sloof blocks. This layer is a mixture of cement and water in 1:3 proportion. The height of this layer should be at least 1m.

4. MYTH: Tidak tahan terhadap air.
FACT: One of the reasons this myth arises is the fact that aerated lightweight concrete has pores and people assume that this material keeps the water in it. This assumption is not true. Although it has a large amount of pores, aerated lightweight concrete is non absorbant. This is due to the fact that the pores within the concrete are separated. There is no interconnection between each pore and this means water won’t be absorbed into this material.
